The needs in Haiti are very great. Now, because of the earthquake that struck on January 12th, the needs are even greater. To help meet those needs, our Haiti Shoebox Drive will collect different items than our traditional Christmas Shoebox Drive to be held in December.
Please look over the list carefully and then pack your items (see below) in a plastic, clear shoebox no larger than 6 quarts (download your packing list here). Remember, every child is in need and your gift of these items will help to make their lives easier.
Ideas to include:
- Flashlight
- Batteries
- Children's acetaminophen
- Children's ibuprophen
- Alcohol swabs
- Neosporin (or generic version)
- Benadryl itch relief topical lotion
- Mini First Aid Kit (includes band-aids of varying sizes, cleansing wipes, gauze pads)
- Large gauze pads
- Elastic wrap
- Hand sanitizer
- Baby powder
- Children's chewable vitamins
- Toothbrush
- Toothpaste
- Dial soap (anti-bacterial)
- Washcloth
- 1 lb. bag of rice
- 1 lb. bag of beans
- Flat package of tuna (6.4 oz.) and/or chicken
- Small package of nuts
- Protein bars
- Jerky
Do Not Include:
- Candy/chocolate
- Clothing/shoes
- Toys
- School supplies

- To help cover the cost of overseas shipping, please donate $7. To help with timely processing, please pre-pay online. Please do not send cash. If you prefer to enclose a check, please make it payable to New Missions and place it inside an envelope inside the shoebox. On the envelope write: shipping.
